The Daily Mail wrote an article about False strip eye lashes damaging your eye lashes which they do greatly but they also mentioned that Eyelash extensions are the same. This is not true. Here is more information on why this is the case. Enjoy.xxx

Eyelash extensions add length, thickness and fullness to natural eyelashes. Synthetic single fiber polyester thread-like materials are applied to individual eyelashes to create a fuller, longer look. The adhesive used is surgical-grade. Extensions come in various lengths, colors and thicknesses, and can be worn during sleep, showering and swimming. However, excessive exposure to oil can weaken adhesive bond. [ Eyelash extensions] differ from "fake" or "false" eyelashes in that they are applied one extension to one lash. The procedure to attach the extensions takes an average of one and a half to two hours for a full set of extensions of roughly 30-80 lashes per eye. If properly applied with cyanoacrylate adhesive, eyelash extensions are designed to bond to one's natural eyelash.

Eyelash extensions may last from two weeks to two months, depending on the cycle of hair growth. Most people choose black lashes, however, brown, red, green and purple are available. Mink lashes are available, and are sustainably harvested from live minks in the United States. The minks are combed out, their hair sanitized and the individual hairs are used. Mink sets may cost from £500.00 and up. Most technicians use nylon based hairs, however, not mink. Eyelash extensions have been around since the late 1990s, used mostly by fashion models and Hollywood. Eyelash extensions are worn by celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Star Jones, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Lindsay Lohan, Gwen Stefani, Lucy Liu, Naomi Campbell and Liz Hurley. However, since the early 2000s, many suburban salons have offered this service. Eyebrow extensions are available as well, however are not as popular as eyelash extensions.

False eyelash strips, or small groups of false eyelashes, are not considered to be "Eyelash Extensions."

As hair grows out, it cycles and falls out naturally, thus shedding the extension with it.

Prices range depending on location of salon and type of service offered. Generally the price is £150.00 to £500.00 per set.

My prices start from £90 upwards for a full set of Natural Fiber.

Synthetic sets start from £65.

Will my Eye Lashes fall out if I have Eye Lash extensions.

Well the simple truth is NO.

I have been working with eye lashes for over 5 years now. As a makeup artist I am constantly  trying to achieve a fuller, thicker look with mascara and granted the right mascara did a good job and some still do. However trying to get a longer lasting look with mascara is difficult as the product heats up and slides off the lash and onto your skin, giving you those lovely Panda eye's that is the Bain of every woman's make up life.

The natural cycle of a  lash is 45-60 days.  Your lashes are constantly growing which allows the older lashes to fall away and be discarded. Using a strong Eye Lash extension adhesive allows me to bond the Eye Lash extension to your Natural lash without it disturbing the growth because the bond never touches the skin of the eye lid.

The bond is light and I only need to use a very small amount as it's quite strong. Once I have applied the set of choice to your lashes then all you need to is get on with living your life with fuller, sexier lashes.

If you are experiencing tightness, stickiness, or any discomfort around your lashes then they have been applied wrong, Your lashes should look natural and fluffy, if they are clumpy and ridged then its also been done wrong.

I hope this is good information for you guys.

Please don't hesitate to ask as many questions as you want and I'll be here to answer them.

Here I have used a combination of different lengths. From the corner I have used 13mm,12mm,and 10mm lengths of Natural fiber hair. I have also Highlighted the lashes, this involves me using different clours of lashes, you can see the violet hue's shimmering of the lashes. It's the perfect way to make the natural colour of your eyes stand out.

This is a Full Natural Fiber set. The client wanted to keep her look very subtle so I used 10mm and 8mm lashes. You can see how her eyes have been opened up really well and the focus is on the colour of her eyes. Lashes do amazing things.

Eyelash Extensions

When do you know you have found the perfect set of lash extensions.

Hey guys,

Well here is another little blog for those of you who have joined and those of you who will join and read.

Eye lash extensions are one of the most recent beauty wonders of 2010 and they are taken the world by storm. A lot of beauty salons are doing them now but unfortunately a lot of girls and boys are not trained well enough resulting in sticky, clumpy eye lashes.

As a make up artist I understand the shape, length, thickness and texture of lashes and how they should look for the best effect.

Before I even touch your eye lashes I make sure your eye lashes are clean and free of any mascara or oil. I then place micro pore tape down on your bottom lashes to keep them away from your top ones, if  I did not do this the adhesive could catch the bottom lashes and both will set together making it uncomfortable afterwords to separate.

I place individual strands of synthetic and natural fiber hair onto your existing eye lashes. I use many different lengths of lash to build up a thicker fuller lash line.

Many clients ask me for a very natural look and then once they see the result want more and more applied because of its done right it just looks like the images above.

When you have your lashes applied it very important to keep them out of contact with anything oily and chemically strong.

Use light eye cleansers around your new lashes, preferably i love to use the new Marks and Spensors cotton buds with the eye make up remover inside, genius!.

You can carry on doing exactly what you do every day with your lashes, just use your head and don't be to harsh i.e no puling, dragging.

TOP TIP: take a tiny bit of Vaseline on your middle fingers and rub up underneath on the lashes, this keeps them moist and keeps the lash from drying out. Vaseline does have oil in it but just use the tiniest amount.

If anyone has any questions please ask.

I will have lots to come about make up too and lots of videos too.

Hello

Hi guys,

Well I have been just over run with requests for eye lash extensions for the summer.

I have to admit they are the perfect accessory for the summer with a really soft smudged beech liner.

Come get them.

Also a really light soft sun kisses tinted moisturizer is a must with a good spf.
